Conflict Resolution of Territorial Boundaries in Indonesia Through a Regulatory Approach

The Boundaries are important in maintaining national stability and security. Conflicts over territorial boundaries common, both between countries provinces regencies/cities. This is one of the issues that have escaped attention government so various disputes arise community political elite at border. conflicts occur more caused by triggering factor boundary disputes, which general not been resolved due to problem resolving lines different perceptions elites. Boundary usually very vulnerable if contested area has excellent natural economic resource potential. purpose this study describe factors cause conflict urgency affirming resolution efforts resolve through regulation non-regulation. method used a qualitative with descriptive type approach literature study. Based on research results, it understood two channels, namely: Non-litigation settlement litigation settlement, also called administration, case, mediated Ministry Home Affairs Governor. While judicial review lawsuits filed parties Supreme Court or Constitutional Court. role regional border as facilitator context investigating conflicted cases, well mediator negotiations
